The Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies extends congratulations to Lifelife Inc. for receiving the Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50 Nonprofit of the Year Award at a gala on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

The Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50 has been recognizing change-seeking companies, businesses, and individuals in Lake and Geauga counties at their annual gala for 29 years, according to the local newspaper The News-Herald. In addition to the awards given at this gala to “Emerging” and “Established” community leaders, the Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50 presents the “Nonprofit of the Year Award” to “an organization that has demonstrated a dedication to their mission and that has created and nurtured valuable collaborations resulting in meaningful and measurable benefits to the community,” per their website.

This year, the Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50 was able to host the gala in person after transitioning to a virtual event in 2020. The award presentation was proceeded by a networking session and a presentation by the keynote speaker and Mayfield Village business owner, Babby Kaleal. Present during the award ceremony was Lifeline Inc. Executive Director Carrie Dotson who accepted the Nonprofit Award on behalf of the agency.

Lifeline Inc. representatives took to Facebook Thursday evening to express their gratitude for the award and to thank all those whose efforts earned the agency this recognition.

“This award wouldn’t have been possible without our staff and Board,” Lifeline Inc. said. “Our staff have worked so tirelessly throughout the pandemic and continue to help people and change lives every day. Our Board has provided the leadership and oversight to see us through these difficult times.”

Lifeline Inc. representatives also extended their gratitude to the agency partners whose support has helped strengthen and extend many areas of services.

“We can’t do it alone,” Lifeline Inc. said. “We share this award with the many collaborative partners and funders who work with us every day to improve the quality of life for all Lake and Geauga residents.”
