Tom Bishop spent twenty-seven years working in nonprofit media, with more than twenty as chief executive. In that time he served on many local, regional, and national boards of directors and has done everything from direct service, organizational and fund development to advocacy, internal operations, and HR.

Moving from the NPO C-suite to consultant in 2014, Tom is the Facilitating Partner at CauseImpact LLC where he works with nonprofits in the areas of strategy, innovation, organizational assessment, coaching, and new revenue development.

Kathryn Clausen is the communications director at Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies and has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector—over a decade of her career is in the Community Action Network. In her current role, she manages the association’s communications and public relations efforts, as well as supports the communications efforts of 47 CAAs in Ohio. Kathryn received her Master of Arts from Kent State University where she studied Mass Communication and Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. She also earned undergraduate degrees in business management, marketing, and photography from Ohio University, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Franklin University where she studied communications.

Ketayoun Darvich-Kodjouri, a strategic communications consultant, has a 20-year track record of crafting communications and advocacy campaigns with non-profits and foundations everywhere from Albuquerque to Abuja.

Ketayoun’s clients tackle issues related to building equitable communities that create opportunity for all, including as a long-time communications partner for the National Community Action Partnership. Prior to launching her independent practice, she was a vice president at the public interest PR firm Spitfire Strategies, where she was one of their top-rated trainers and led accounts on children’s healthcare, food insecruity, housing justice, women’s equality, and global health.

She previous served as faculty in the Move to End Violence program of the NOVO Foundation, a 10-year initiative to strengthen the movement to end violence against women and girls in the United States. Ketayoun also has held the position of director of communications at several non-profit institutions, including Children’s Law Center in Washington, DC, and for the women’s development organization the Centre for Development and Populations Activities (CEDPA), where she overaw advocacy and communications globally and for country offices including India, Nepal, Nigeria and South Africa.

Currently, she is on the board of the Guttmacher Institute, which uses evidence-based research to advance reproductive rights for all. She lives in the Washington, D.C. suburbs and holds a B.A. in political science from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Accessing the Virtual Conference

After registering for the conference, you or the primary registrant will receive an email confirmation containing the password to access the conference page. If someone else registered you for the conference, check with them to obtain a copy of the original email confirmation. You also should have received an email with the conference password from Kathryn Clausen on Monday, September 21, 2020.

Once you enter the password into the conference area, you can view materials associated with each workshop such as the link to join, supplemental materials, and a link to the evaluations. When you select the workshop, you will be enter into a waiting room. You’ll be accepted into the meeting at the scheduled time.
