For nearly 60 years, Community Action has battled the war on poverty at the national, state, and local level. The Ohio Community Action Network continues that fight by addressing the needs of Ohioans in their communities and empowering them toward self-sufficiency.
The 2021 Annual Report highlights a few of the many achievements of Ohio Community Action Agencies and their customers—from community book donation drives to leveraging local talents. The Ohio Community Action Network responded to the lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic by continuing to operate mobile health clinics and providing transportation to medical appointments. Through creativity, perseverance, and ingenuity, the Network served over 400,000 Ohioans in 2021.
