An Introduction to Youth Homelessness
Description:
Many youth and young adults under 25 experience homelessness in Ohio. Due to their developmental stages and histories this population has unique needs compared to adults over 25. In this session, you will learn more about youth homelessness generally and in Ohio as well as what services are currently available and needed. You will also learn about COHHIO’s Youth Housing Initiative and how you can get involved in preventing and ending youth homelessness.

Trainer:
Amanda Wilson
Amanda Wilson is the Special Projects Director at COHHIO. In this role, Amanda supervises the Youth Housing Initiative and the SSI/SSDA Outreach, Access, and Recovery Ohio Program. Amanda has been with CHHIO for eleven years and is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio. When she is not working or spending time with her family, Amanda loves to read and watch sports.
