OACAA Executive Director Earns COAD’s Dave Rinebolt Community Service Award

Last week, OACAA Executive Director Philip E. Cole was honored by Ohio Partners for Affordable Energy with the Dave Rinebolt Community Service Award. The award recognizes leaders who demonstrate the attributes and qualities of service inspired by the late Mr. Rinebolt.

Dave Rinebolt passed away in 2021 and left behind an incredible legacy in which he advocated for programs to assist underserved communities. As the first executive director at OPAE, Mr. Rinebolt worked tirelessly alongside the Community Action Network to enhance weatherization and energy assistance programs.

“Dave was a firm believer in strengthening every community in which he was involved,” said Cole. “It was a great honor to receive this award.”

Alongside Mr. Cole, additional recipients in the Community Action Network included Eddie Cooper of Miami Valley Community Action Partnership, Lora Rawson of Gallia-Meigs Community Action Agency, and Kim Bond of Community Action Council of Portage County.
