OACAA, Glenn School now accepting Best Practice applications

Best Practices is a partnership between the Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies and the John Glenn School of Public Affairs of the Ohio State University with support from the Ohio Department of Development. The program honors innovative and effective Community Action Agency programs that measurably meet the needs of their clients and their communities by helping low-income people become more self-sufficient. Using an outcomes-based evaluation system known as ROMA (Results Oriented Management and Accountability) the Best Practices serve as a showcase for innovative Community Action Agency efforts that make a measurable and life-changing difference.

OACAA Sponsors 5K to Benefit After School Programs

OACAA is proud to partner with Communities in Schools as a sponsor of the Step Up With Kids 5K Walk/Run. CIS runs after school program in Whitehall, Columbus and Catholic Schools including a financial literacy curriculum created by OACAA. Learn more and register for the Sept. 18 event.

The Ohio Housing Trust Fund has been building Ohio for 20 years, funding programs that house and serve low-income and vulnerable Ohioans while creating jobs and leveraging capital. The $8 billion hole in the next biennium budget poses unprecedented threats to all areas of state funding. Wipfli Training Discounted for OACAA Members

Certified Public Accountants from Wipfli will conduct training on recent OMB Circulars, Head Start Governance and applying Davis-Bacon to Weatherization Programs.
